A productive day had taken Gregorith's mind off of the nightmares he'd had the night before. He hadn't dreamed of the eyes in forever, but discovering that he had inadvertently entered a living world rather than an afterlife had old fears resurfacing.

The reactions of the people he'd met so far however had been reassuring. More than one person had mentioned a Lucifer, and none had even blinked at his being a demon. That would seem to indicate a lack of territorial supernatural creatures.

Well, one last distraction and then he'd drink of lavender tea in hopes of further settling his nerves.

"Hello, Gregorith!" his own Lucifer's voice on the line was a welcome distraction indeed.

"Lucifer, good to hear your voice."

"And yours my friend! How goes the mission?"

"I typed up an official report for the records. It should be on its way to everyone's inbox but I wanted to let you know some of the things I've learned before you read it in there."

"Sounds serious, go ahead."

"Okay well first of all I met with the Mayor. I've been officially welcomed, so no problems there. But I've also learned that Fandom is not an afterlife."

"I'm sorry, say that again?"

"It's not an afterlife. There's some undead, non-hostile undead I've been assured, but otherwise the people here are alive. Like, human, and alive."

Silence on the other end so he went on. "Fandom is a kind of Nexus point, where several universes converge. Not limited to whether those are realms of the living, or the dead. So, you all have fun parsing that out I guess. I just have to live here."

He decided to leave the alternate version of Lucifer for the official report.
